Assiut’s solidarity interferes to save a lady and her infant without shelter
This came in an immediate response to the directives of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al -Nasr, Governor of Assiut, and according to the policy of the Ministry of Social Solidarity led by Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Solidarity.
According to the field report, the lady was staying at her father’s house, but she was forced to leave as a result of her exposure to physical and verbal violence from her uncle, which led her to take shelter in one of the NGOs affiliated with the Directorate, which she temporarily hosted until her condition officially discussed.
With direct guidance from the Director of the Directorate, the team began taking the necessary interventions, where the social unit and social security management were made to register the situation in the Takaful program with the aim of obtaining monthly assistance, as well as preparing social research to transfer it to the Takaful Foundation to spend urgent financial support, and it was also handed over a carton of food and meat bag to meet its basic needs.
Al -Shaima Abdel -Moati met the situation to follow up on her situation closely, and directed to develop a comprehensive intervention plan that included coordination with the Health Directorate to pay treatment at the expense of the state, and to communicate with her uncle to discuss ways to return her to her father’s house in a framework that preserves her dignity and psychological safety, as well as completing the procedures for including the Takaful program.
Abdel -Moaty stressed that the directorate will not hesitate to intervene to save any humanitarian situation, especially the first categories of care, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and the policy of the Ministry of Social Solidarity that puts the citizen at the heart of its priorities.
In this context, the rapid intervention team at the Social Solidarity Directorate appealed to citizens of the need to immediately report any humanitarian situation that needs urgent intervention, through the declared communication channels, to provide the necessary assistance and prevent the exposure of any citizen.
