With the start of the twenty -sixth edition of the Arab Basketball Championship for men’s teams, the organizing committee of the tournament intensified its efforts to receive the sister Arab teams and the Kingdom’s guests through Bahrain International Airport, in the context of keenness to provide the best amenities and organization for the participants in this Arab sports gathering.
In this context, Mr. Ahmed Baladari, the reception and hospitality official in the tournament, confirmed that the committee formed an integrated team to receive the participating delegations, which includes trained volunteers and accompanying people who were appointed specifically for each mission to ensure that all their needs are met from the moment of their arrival until their departure, indicating that logistical arrangements are going according to a studied plan that takes into account the highest standards of organization and hospitality.
“We were keen on the organizing committee to be the moment of reaching the land of Bahrain, the beginning of a distinguished experience for our Arab guests, where reception points were allocated at Bahrain International Airport, while providing facilities for each delegation to facilitate the process of transfer, housing and direct follow -up to all requirements.”
He added: “The Radisson Blu Diploma Hotel has been allocated as the seat of the participating teams’ housing, because of its capabilities and services that suit the nature of the event, while the Regency Intercontinental Hotel will be the headquarters of the technical committee, the championship referees and officials of the Arab Federation, in order to ensure the provision of a suitable and comfortable work environment for them throughout the competition period.”
The tournament will start on the twenty -fifth of this July and will continue until the second of next August, with the participation of seven Arab teams.
This hosting is the first of its kind for the Kingdom of Bahrain in the history of the championship since its inception in 1974, which constitutes an exceptional occasion that reflects the Kingdom’s position in embracing major sporting events.
