Dr. Sameh Al -Ashmawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Fayoum, announced that the Fayoum General Hospital, led by Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, received the first position at the level of hospitals of the Ministry of Health in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of oncology surgery, according to the performance report issued by the therapeutic medicine sector at the Ministry of Health and Population, for the first half of 2025.
The Tamiya Central Hospital, led by Dr. Nashwa Rahim, also won the first position at the level of the Republic in the field of open heart surgeries.
Fayoum General Hospital occupies the first position at the level
Al -Ashmawy expressed his happiness with the medical hospital and Tamiya Central Hospital achieved in a medical achievement in addition to a series of successes of the health sector in the governorate, stressing that this remarkable progress comes as a reflection of the efforts made by the medical and administrative teams in the hospitals, according to the latest medical protocols.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Fayoum General Hospital administration and the director of the hospital, the head of the Oncology Department and all the members of the medical and administrative team in the oncology department, and the hospital’s work team, in appreciation of their sincere efforts, which contributed to this advanced classification, and to provide specialized treatment and surgical services for oncology patients with high efficiency, within the governorate and outside the governorate.
He also thanked and appreciated the director of Tameya Central Hospital and the head of the Open Heart Department, which provides a distinguished service in the governorates of North Upper Egypt and to all members of the hospital’s medical and administrative team, as well as thanks to the supervisory system of therapeutic medicine in the Directorate.
Al -Ashmawi emphasized the support of the Ministry of Health and the full population of Fayoum Governorate hospitals, and the continued work to raise the efficiency of the various departments of the surgery, while providing the necessary human and technical capabilities, to enable hospitals to perform major, developed and skill surgeries, and reduce patients from the hardship of moving to other provinces, explaining that this achievement contributes to enhancing confidence in the health service provided through health hospitals.
