The Ministry of Industry and Trade clarified that the Ministry is based on organized legislation and legal procedures in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain with many steps to correct the conditions of tenants for commercial establishments before taking legal measures to pay arrears and collect the amounts due to the ministry.
The ministry pointed out, sympathetic to what was stated in the video circulating on social media regarding the Ministry of Industry and Trade closed one of the commercial establishments, that the decision taken on the commercial establishment came in accordance with the organized legislation and the legal procedures in force, and after exhausting all possible ways to correct the use of the rented voucher and collect the amounts due to the ministry after the expiry of the exemption period from the rent, according to the lease contract between The Ministry and the owner of the commercial facility (tenant).
The ministry added that it had granted the owner of the concerned facility several opportunities and time to settle the situation, but that a settlement was not reached that guaranteed the payment of the amounts due and correct the user position in the voucher, which is a violation of the rental contract concluded between the owner of the facility and the ministry.
The ministry stated that the tenant is practicing commercial activities without a license in the mentioned commercial establishment, whose license is limited to car wash activity only.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Industry and Trade would like to emphasize the need to drop the adequate information from official sources, and to ensure the validity of what is being published and not contribute to spreading false information.
