Real Madrid regained one of its previous talents, by including the right -back Spanish back, Alvaro Carreras with a long -term contract until June 2031, in a deal from Benfica, Portuguese, to strengthen the team in the next stage.
Return to the roots
Carreras, 21, grew up at the Real Madrid Academy between 2017 and 2020, before leaving towards Manchester United, where he starred in the age groups there and crowned the award for the best under-23 player in the 2021-2022 season, which was placed under the microscope of the major European clubs.
Benfica Station
The young Spanish back joined Benfica at the beginning of 2023, and quickly succeeded in imposing himself within the team’s starting lineup. During the last season, he contributed to his club winning the Portuguese League Cup, which earned him wider fame and accurate follow -up from the Real Madrid administration, which started its moves to restore it.

The agreement was officially made between Real Madrid and Benfica to include Carreras for the next six seasons, as it will wear the white shirt with the first team. Alvaro Carreras is scheduled to be presented to the media tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1:00 pm Spain time, in Real Madrid Sports, in the presence of club president Florentino Perez. The player will also hold a press conference during which he talks about his return to “the royal” and his goals in the next stage.
