His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Riffa Club Board of Directors, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, for the great efforts and directives made by His Highness in order to develop the infrastructure of sports clubs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This came after Al -Riffa Club received the new training stadium, which was rehabilitated and replaced its floor with a high -quality artificial gossip, according to the latest approved technical specifications, in line with internationally approved safety and efficiency standards.
His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Khaled stressed that this initiative comes in the context of the insightful vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and his constant keenness to support the sports movement and upgrade club ingredients, noting that the development achieved is a realistic translation of His Highness’s directives that put investment in infrastructure within the priorities of national sports work.
His Excellency added: “We have seen his keenness to provide the optimal sports environment for athletes, through his generous directives to the General Authority for Sports by launching comprehensive projects aimed at rehabilitating and updating club facilities, which reflects His Highness’s firm belief in the importance of developing the Bahraini sports base from the ground.”
The head of the Riffa Club valued the unlimited support provided by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and considered it a major engine towards building an integrated and sustainable sports system, noting that the update of the training field will constitute a qualitative addition to the club’s first football team march, and will contribute to raising the quality of technical and physical preparations for the players.
He concluded his statement by saying: “We confirm that this achievement is a fruit of the visions of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which makes the difference, and pushes Bahraini sport towards more successes and distinguished at various levels.”
The project to develop the training stadium in Al -Riffa Club comes within a series of development projects launched by the General Sports Authority, under the auspices and direct guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which aims to update the infrastructure of all national clubs, in line with the sports ambitions of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the next stage.
