The Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior won the Bahrain Award for Digital Content for the year 2025 for the category of “partnership between the government and citizens” in order to design the application of the national project to use artificial intelligence technology to monitor and increase the rates of recovery from addiction, within the framework of adopting modern programs and technologies in the services provided by the Ministry.
On this occasion, Major General Adel Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, affirmed that achieving this achievement comes thanks to the team’s first support for His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, who contributes to developing the capabilities of employees of the ministry and continuing the process of developing digital content, stimulating creativity and creating new digital solutions that contribute to upgrading the level of services.
Major General Adel Amin praised the cooperation with the General Administration of Investigations and Criminal Evidence, and its role in implementing this national project aimed at monitoring and increasing the rates of recovery from drug addiction using artificial intelligence, explaining that the goal of the project is to introduce the capabilities of artificial intelligence of the computer that simulate human mental capabilities in understanding the variables and factors that affect the behavior of addicts, which contributes to the development of policies and solutions necessary both at the individual or national level.
And the assistant human resources agent expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the work team, noting that this award represents an incentive towards more work to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and upgrade the level of institutional performance.
