The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, it began the deployment of its specialized military units in the areas affected in As -Suwayda, the provision of safe corridors for civilians and the dismantling of clashes quickly and decisively.
In a statement issued a short time ago, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said that it “followed with great sadness and anxiety the bloody developments that witnessed the province of As -Suwayda during the past two days, which resulted in more than thirty people dead and about a hundred wounded in a number of neighborhoods and towns.”
She added that “the institutional vacuum that accompanied the outbreak of these clashes contributed to the exacerbation of the climate of chaos and the inability to interfere by the official security or military institutions, which hindered calm and self -control efforts.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed that it “began coordinating with the Ministry of Interior, deploying its specialized military units in the affected areas, providing safe corridors for civilians, and dismantling the clashes quickly and deciding, confirming the commitment of its soldiers to protect civilians in accordance with the law.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense called on all parties in As -Suwayda to cooperate with our forces and internal security forces, and to adhere to self -control, considering that “the continued escalation increases the suffering of civilians.”
The Ministry stressed that “the restoration of security and stability in As -Suwayda is a joint responsibility between the state and its citizens,” stressing “the full readiness to support any initiative aimed at promoting civil peace, consolidating the spirit of citizenship and building a safe future worthy of everyone’s dignity.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense recommended that “those working to resolve the conflict with the full commitment to the tasks assigned to them to protect the people and stop the clashes and prevent any new violations.”
Later, a source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported the killing and injury of a number of the Syrian army forces while “deploying the clashes and protecting the people in As -Suwayda after being targeted by groups outside the law.”
