The mayor of the city of Burgas in the Republic of Bulgaria, Dimitar Nicholov, valued the great efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee, in supporting mixed martial arts sport, stressing that these efforts from His Highness contributed clearly to the creation of a qualitative shift in this sport, and strengthened from its spread at the level of cities and capitals the world.
This came at the press conference held in the city of Burgas in the presence of the mayor of the city of Burgas, the Republic of Bulgaria Foreign media.
At the beginning of the press conference, the mayor of the city of Burgas welcomed the attendees, praising the efforts of the Bahraini countryside, headed by Mr. Mohamed Shahd, in organizing sporting events represented by the holding of Brave CF tournaments in the Republic of Bulgaria, stressing that this constitutes a real opportunity to enhance the Bahraini -Bulgarian relations in the sports field, in a way that contributes to the development of the sports sector in the two countries.
He stressed that Bulgaria has now become part of the successes achieved by the Brave CF championship at the level of the continent of Europe, adding that this tournament was able to successfully make its way since its inception in 2016, to be an icon in the sky of the global mixed martial arts sport.
The mayor of the Bulgarian city of Burgas indicated that the Brave CF championship was able to constitute a real opportunity to hold alliances and sports partnerships between the Bahraini countryside and the cooperative authorities in organizing this tournament, and the tournament also formed a real opportunity for sports talents in various countries that embraced this unique sporting event, to be a platform for competition, excitement and challenge among all participants.
He concluded his speech, saying: “The Brave CF championship is not only a sports championship, but it is an ideal platform for sporting, economic, tourism and media success,” wishing all the best and success for the Bahraini countryside in organizing more successful events in Bulgaria and the continent of Europe.
