Today, Sunday, one of the villages of the northern coast in Egypt witnessed a huge fire that fully charged a theater dedicated to concerts, without reports that human injuries occurred so far.
The pioneers of social media circulated a video clip documenting the huge fire, which turned the theater into ashes within minutes, while scenes appeared to people running around the site to try to control the fire that spanned very quickly.
Voice defect caused by the catastrophe
According to the sources, the fire broke out as a result of a defect in the sound systems, as the fire caught in one of the headphones, and then it extended to the entire theater, amid a state of panic among the attendees.
A burning week in Egypt
The accident came in the midst of a week that witnessed a series of fires in vital and commercial facilities in several regions in Egypt, most notably in Cairo, Alexandria and Badr City, which raised questions about safety procedures in these facilities.
Syrusal Ramses: The Great Fire
The most prominent of these fires was in Central Ramses in central Cairo, which lasted for more than 12 hours, and led to the death of 4 people and the injury of 32 others, as well as a partial stop in communications and electronic payment services.
Initial investigations revealed that the fire broke out as a result of a short circuit in one of the air conditioners, then the fire extended due to the accumulation of flammable gases inside the building.
Other fires due to neglect
On the island of Zamalek, a fire broke out near the “Sofitel Al -Jazeera” hotel as a result of a burning cigarette that was thrown at an artificial carrier, and was controlled without any injuries.
The Khamail area in the city of October 6 also witnessed a fire in a commercial center, which began in a barber shop and extended to neighboring stores due to a short circuit.
In Alexandria, a fire broke out inside a restaurant below a hotel in the Sidi Bishr area and extended to neighboring stores, without injuries, and it was found that the cause was a malfunction in the air conditioner.
Badr City: Factory for detergents
The week was concluded with a huge fire at a detergent factory in Badr City, as a result of the poor storage of flammable chemicals. Although deaths were not recorded, the accident required a great mobilization of civil protection to control the fire.
