In a simple house in the village of Al -Salama, affiliated with the Sohag Center, a fifty -year -old woman named Amna Ahmed Mohamed may not distinguish her from at first glance, but whoever approaches her discover an exceptional human story, summarizes the meaning of will and faith.
“Amna”, the 55 -year -old, and despite her full sight and harsh unit, after the death of her parents, and the absence of a brother or sister, she was able to memorize the entire Qur’an in 9 years, but rather began to memorize the sons and daughters of her village, to become an example and a beacon in giving and patience.

“Amna” journey started with the Book of God 9 years ago, at a time when she was suffering from isolation after the death of her parents, where she lived alone without a husband, children, or brothers, and despite the many challenges, the most prominent of which is the loss of sight and limited movement, she did not give up, and she was able to memorize the Holy Book of God in the Holy Quran School in Sala.
Sheikh Ahmed, one of her teachers in the Quranic School in Al -Saa, confirmed that she memorized the Holy Quran with indoctrination, as there is a portfolio of the Holy Quran, and she always loves to hear Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al -Minshawi, Abdul Basset Abdul Samad, Sheikh Mustafa Ismail, Sheikh Al -Hosari, and others.
Dr. Kamal Nasser, a sheikh at the Ministry of Awqaf and one of the teachers of the Qur’an in the village, added, only one month ago, “Amna” was able to complete the entire Qur’an, after a long memorization march full of patience and challenges, that moment was not merely a personal achievement, but rather was a new birth declaration for her, as she will start soon after passing the tests from specialists in teaching and memorizing girls and women in the village.
Her friend says that she was difficult to move to the Quran Memorization Office, holding the hand of a girl or one of the girls from the neighbors who memorized in the Quranic school from her neighbors, and she went with them to memorize the Holy Quran, then returns with them.
Despite the happiness that overwhelms the heart of “Amana”, it has one dream that has not yet been fulfilled, which is to set foot on the land of the Two Holy Mosques, and visit the Sacred House of God, a need for her Lord, who illuminated her the way with the light of the Qur’an.
She added, “My soul is around the Kaaba … and I pray for all that helped me on my way … myself is Hajj and visit the house of our Lord, even once before I die.”
It is worth noting that the story of “Amna” is not only a model for an Egyptian woman who is fighting, but an explicit message for those who can help.
