Today, Saturday, the second phase of the training program on population education for the teachers of the Al -Azhar institutes sector, in cooperation between the International Islamic Center for Studies and Population Research at Al -Azhar University and the Al -Azhar Institutes Sector, was launched, within the framework of the directives of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, regarding supporting and implementing the provisions of the National Population and Development Strategy.
The training is implemented for the teachers of the Cairo region of Al -Azhar and the institutes sector, and it will continue for three days, by professors and experts from Al -Azhar University, with the aim of raising the efficiency of teachers in dealing with population issues from an integrated scientific and educational perspective, and the opening of the program witnessed the presence of: Dr. Shukri Abdel -Azim, Dean of the Center, representative of the director, and Dr. Ahmed Al -Sharqawi, as a deputy for the head of the institutes sector.
Building integrated awareness of Al -Azhar teacher
Dr. Ahmed Al -Sharqawi stressed, in a statement a little while ago that these training programs represent an essential pillar in building the integrated awareness of the Azhar teacher, stressing that the institutes sector is keen that the teacher be an active partner in the face of contemporary societal challenges, and the spread of sound population and healthy culture, indicating that Al -Azhar is working in an accelerated pace towards supporting family and society issues, through studied scientific and educational programs that respond to the requirements of the stage The current.
The program aims to enhance teachers’ awareness of population issues, and to spread the concepts of population education and family planning, as well as addressing the phenomenon of violence against women, in a way that contributes to building a more aware and more equitable society.
This program comes in the context of fruitful cooperation between the International Islamic Center for Population Studies and Research at Al -Azhar University and the Al -Azhar Institutes Sector, within the continuous efforts of Al -Azhar in supporting community development issues, and building a comprehensive educational awareness among teachers and students alike.
The program is held under the supervision of His Eminence Dr. Muhammad Al -Dawini, Undersecretary of Al -Azhar, His Eminence Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al -Azhar University, Sheikh Ayman Abdul Ghani, Head of the Al -Azhar Institutes Sector, and an executive leadership from Dr. Jamal Abu Al -Surour, Director of the Center, and Dr. Ahmed Al -Sharqawi, President of the Central Administration for Education in the Al -Azhar Institutes Sector.
