The Justice Party issued an official statement to respond to the statements of Eng. The party stressed that the saying that the financial credits are available for this purpose through an emergency budget that is only a confirmation of the cost of the financial loss resulting from poor planning.
The party calls on the Ministry of Petroleum to consider the cost of non -commitment and its impact on the state budget and taxpayers.
Earlier, Representative Abdel Moneim Imam, head of the Justice Party, asked a parliamentary question to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, about the ministry’s failure to implement its declared plan to secure gas during the summer of 2025, and this consequences for gas supplies to the industrial sector.
Imam explained that the recent reduction of gas supplies directly affected a number of vital industries, foremost of which are fertilizer and petrochemical industries, stressing that the ministry failed to adhere to the plan announced by the beginning of the year, which included the operation of four floating boas units to cover the months of summer peak.
He pointed out that the executive reality showed a clear gap between what was announced and actually achieved, as only one unit (“Hug Gallin”) worked), while other units such as “Anegeius Power” and “Angelus Eskimo” remained out of service despite their readiness, while “Ertgea Ghazi” did not reach Egypt at all, and a fifth fake unit was included without a real contract.
Imam added that what happened cannot be reduced to being the result of regional factors only, but also an internal administrative crisis in implementing an announced and funded plan, especially after ignoring the previous warnings issued last March from the “Justice Center for Studies”, which warned of the delay in the rehabilitation of sidewalks and the slowdown in the activation of ships.
He stressed that the recent media intensification that was in favor of the ministry should not be used as a cover on the executive stumbling, asking: “We have anchored ships and liquefied gas available, so why are we exposed?”
The MP called on the minister to answer several fundamental questions, among them:
The reasons for the non -operation of the four boost units, despite the clarity of the time plan.
The reasons for the survival of “Angelos Power” and “Eskimo” out of service.
The absence of “Arcta Ghazi” despite its inclusion in the plan.
The reason for the inclusion of a fifth unit was not contracted at all.
The size of the economic loss resulting from the reduction of gas supplies during June.
Whether an technical or internal investigation has been opened regarding these failures that affect the energy security of the state.
