The Al -Ahly Sports Activity Department decided the file of the new coach of the volleyball team, men, in preparation for the start of the new season, as it was settled to contract with an Italian coach, within the framework of the club’s plan to develop the team technically and continue to compete for the championships.

Cairo 24 learned from its sources inside Al -Ahly, that the administration preferred the Italian school to lead the team to succeed Spanish coach Fernando Manongo, who left the team at the end of last season after a period during which the team led to several local and continental achievements.
It is expected that the coach’s identity will be announced within the next few hours, provided that he will take over his technical duties upon his arrival in Cairo and the start of the preparation period for the new season.
This decision comes in light of Al -Ahly’s endeavor to continue to sit on the throne of Egyptian and African volleyball, and to benefit from the expertise of the Italian school, which is among the most prominent globally in the game.
