The Kingdom of Bahrain won the confidence of the West Asian Federation of Jujitsu to organize the West Asian Championship during the period 29-30 August 2025, in a new step that Bahrain scent on the international sports map, especially the gaming sports, and a new assertion of the Kingdom’s growing and sporting capabilities.
On this occasion, a member of the Bahraini Council for Martial Games, President of the Bahraini Federation of Jujitsu, His Excellency Mr. Reda Ibrahim Menndi, confirmed that hosting and organizing the Kingdom of Bahrain for the West Asia Jujitsu Championship comes to embody the support and attention of the wise leadership, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee, in light of what His Highness offers to promote the constant status of Bahrain And put it on the map of the world in embracing the various championships, especially the combat games championships, praising the interest and follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice -President of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahraini Council for Martial Games, and the efforts made by His Highness in order to improve the level and efficiency of the national federations under the umbrella of the Bahraini Council of Combat Games, in order to raise the level and performance of the combat games and their affiliates, which pays them To achieve more sports achievements for the Kingdom.
He explained that this hosting comes in light of a clear vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain to take the lead in embracing the major championships, as the Kingdom has a firm confidence in embracing the championships, and the Kingdom always devotes its position as a leading sporting platform, especially as it has qualified cadres capable of embracing various sporting events.
“Bahrain will appear again in the best solution on the sports scene, through an organization worthy of its ambition, and an assertion that it is a solidarity sporty oasis, and that this tournament is a new qualitative boost that adds to Bahrain’s global balance, and will always prove that it is able to organize the championships.
The President of the Bahraini Jujitsu Federation noted that hosting the West Asia Jujitsu Championship is a strong driver to consolidate sports relations, stimulate sports tourism, and to achieve the goals of Bahrain Vision 2030 in supporting the national economy by attracting delegations and masses from different countries of the region, stressing that the Bahraini Jujitsu Federation has actually started with the organizational steps through which it seeks to ensure success and excellence of this version of the West Asian Championship on the land of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
