The public library in the city of Ezbet Al -Burj, affiliated to Damietta Governorate, in cooperation with the local unit in the city, will launch the “Draw your History” initiative, next Thursday, to revive the local heritage and introduce the history of the city of Ezbet Al -Burj in an innovative and interactive way.
Samar Ahmed, director of the public library of Egypt in the city of Ezbet Al -Burj, said that the start of the event by showing a documentary film documenting the historical features of Izbat Al -Burj, followed by a technical workshop for recycling gypsum, as children and youth use it as a material for drawing and coloring on the asphalt, inspired by the ancient city heritage.
Abdel -Khaleq Faraj, head of the local unit of the city of Ezbet Al -Burj, stressed that after the documentary film was shown a distinguished Nile tour, during which the participants get acquainted with the effects of the city, especially in the Tabiya Arabi area, amid a simple and attractive explanation of local history.
The director of the library emphasized the establishment of a historic competition in which prizes are presented to the participants who answer the questions inspired by the film and the tour, and the event concludes with an entertainment ceremony on the boat that includes the DJ and a children’s paragraph, to combine the initiative between fun and learning in an unforgettable experience.
