Banque Misr announced on its official page on the social networking site Facebook, that its electronic banking services were affected at the present time, as a result of interruption in Internet services.

The bank stressed that it is currently working to restart the services affected as soon as possible, thanking its customers for their understanding and patience.

Today, Monday, July 7, 2025, a fire in Central Ramses on Al -Gomhoria Street in the Azbakeya neighborhood in central Cairo, and the civil protection forces pushed a number of fire engines to control the fire and prevent their extension of the neighboring buildings.

The incident resulted in a sudden stop in the ground Internet services in a number of Egyptian governorates, including governorates in the naval and tribal faces, causing wide complaints from users on social media.

Telecom networks in Egypt were also affected, as users reported a noticeable interruption or weakness in the service, in addition to the disruption of the “Instabai” application, electronic portfolios and payment platforms such as “Fawry”, in light of the disturbance of ground networks.

The repercussions of the fire extended to the ATM machines (ATM), as citizens pointed to the cessation of withdrawals and deposits, and the inability to conduct banking transactions or print the account statements, and the systems of reservation of railway railway tickets in various parts of the Republic, which caused delaying a number of flights, according to an official statement from the National Railways Authority of Egypt.
