Zamalek Club is close to entering into official negotiations with Pyramids to sign the young midfielder Mahmoud Saber, in the framework of the efforts of the White Castle to strengthen the ranks of the team with young players who are able to make the difference in the new season.

Three -sided deal

Zamalek aspires to resolve a triple deal that includes contracting with Mahmoud Saber, as well as his colleague Mahmoud Zalaka and defender Osama Jalal, in exchange for the departure of Nasser Maher, the playmaker of Zamalek to Pyramids, whose coach Kronlav Euricic showed clear interest in including the player.

On the other hand, Pyramids rejected the idea of the expanded exchange deal, expressing only initial approval of the departure of Osama Jalal and Zalaka, while Mahmoud Saber’s position is still pending despite the presence of initial talks on his transfer on loan.

Administrative adherence to Pyramids

Responsible sources inside the Pyramids confirmed that the administration is not considering concluding extensive reciprocal deals, while stressing the survival of Zalaba and Reda Bubo in the team’s basic list. She also stressed that the decision to loan Mahmoud Saber, if completed, will be subject to the evaluation of the technical staff led by Euricic.

Tension inside Zamalek

In the same context, sources from inside Zamalek revealed the escalation of differences between some members of the Board of Directors and sports director John Edward, after he was accused of seeking to empty the team from its stars on the pretext of renewal, especially since the proposed deals include prominent names such as Ahmed Fattouh, Hossam Abdel Majid, Mohamed Sobhi, and Nasser Maher.

The leaks indicate that Edward insists on entering the name of goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi in the deal with a personal motivation, after the player refused to complete his transfer to Varco previously, which was considered a “blow” to the sports director who was planning to sell him later to Al -Ahly.

A conflict between interests and renewal

Zamalek is currently trying to balance the team’s support with new elements such as Mahmoud Saber and Reda Bubo, and between maintaining its primary strength. John Edward has been granted a preliminary mandate to manage the negotiations, but this mandate has become threatened with freezing in light of anger within the council.
