Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, witnessed the opening of a number of new facilities at the Youth Development Center in the coast, as part of the governorate’s celebrations of its 1056 national day, coinciding with the anniversary of the June 30 revolution, and within the framework of the state’s plan to develop the infrastructure of youth and sports facilities.

The activities included the opening of the new Al -Badel Tennis stadium at the center, and the inspection of three multi -use stadiums developed with acrylic technology, in addition to opening the solar power plant with a capacity of 9.44 kilowatts, as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to expand the use of clean energy sources.
The tour also witnessed the follow -up of sports activities and girls ’empowerment camps within the sports program for development, and a set of sports activities for the center.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the Governor of Cairo, stressed that today’s opening comes within the framework of the state’s interest in empowering youth, providing an advanced environment that embraces their capabilities, and meets their needs in light of the development witnessed by the capital in various fields.
The governor pointed out that the youth development center in the coast has become a real added value to serve the people of the region, and reflects the qualitative boom in Cairo Governorate in community services and vital facilities.
In his speech, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, stressed that the ministry is working according to a strategic vision aimed at a comprehensive and sustainable development of youth centers for community service centers in all governorates, in line with the directives of the political leadership to build a person and enhance the role of youth in various sectors.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi added that the introduction of modern technologies such as solar energy stations within youth centers confirms the state’s orientation towards green development and rationalization of resources, noting that the Sahel Center is a model for integrated centers that combine sport and cultural, social and environmental development.
The tour also included a visit to the new theater, which is 350 individuals, where a short documentary film was shown on the center, followed by a number of short words, and various artistic paragraphs presented by the center’s youth, in addition to launching the initiative of our youth entities in our youth centers, under the slogan of national sense and social responsibility.
The activities witnessed a number of public and executive personalities, leaders of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Cairo Governorate, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and representatives of civil society, who praised the level of development, and stressed the importance of continuing to support the youth centers and expand their activities.
The tour of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi and the Governor of Cairo in youth and sports facilities in the governorate, includes the inspection of the sports complex in Shubra and the Shubra Egypt Youth Center, within the framework of the comprehensive field follow -up of the Ministry’s services in the capital.
