The veteran Emirati actress Razika Al -Tarish died on Friday, at the age of 71.
The Emirati artist has a long artistic and media march that started since the late 1960s, during which she left a clear imprint in the local artistic scene, whether through the small screen or through the radio.
The late began her career in 1969 from the media portal, where she joined Abu Dhabi Radio, and she emerged at the time with her distinguished voice and remarkable presence, before she moved during the 1970s to TV work, to become one of the first actresses in the United Arab Emirates.
Al -Tarsh participated in a number of dramas that formed part of the Emirati cultural memory, as it performed major roles in series that won a wide follow -up, including “Luck, Nassib”, “Hayer Tayer”, “Tamasha”, “Happy Fortune” and “Al -Qawadah”. Its performance also formed the character “Metha” in the popular series “Ashrafan” is a milestone, as this role is still present in the memory of the Emirati drama audience to this day.
Al -Tarish was known for being able to embody the local figures realistically and sincerely, which earned her the love of the audience and respect for the artistic community, and her experience extended through various stages of the development of Gulf drama.
