Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, was accompanied by the Local Administration Committee in the House of Representatives headed by MP Ahmed Al -Sajini, Chairman of the Committee, during her visit to the South Sinai Governorate, which includes a number of parliamentarians, who are the two representatives, the two agents Muhammad al -Husseini and Muhammad Wafik, and the secretary of the committee, Amr Darwish, and the deputies: Darwish Mari, Khaled Abu Nakhoul, Mahmoud Al -Burai, Governorate Representatives: Sayed Awad, Hamid Abu Brik, Guevara Al -Jafi, and officials of various files in the governorate:
During the tour, the delegation inspected the seawater desalination plant in Sharm El -Sheikh with a production capacity of 30 thousand square meters/day, and owned by the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and it is implemented by the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, where the members of the committee praised the quality of implementation and the importance of the project in supporting water security in Sharm El Sheikh.
The committee also inspected the expansion of the sewage treatment plant in Sharm El -Sheikh with a capacity of 7.5 thousand mg/day, and owned by the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and it is being implemented by the Delta Engineering Projects Company, where the delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the treatment stages and technologies used to improve the efficiency of the station.
The tour also included a visit to the oxidative lakes and the bird watching point, where the province’s efforts were reviewed in maintaining environmental balance and environmental tourism in the region, as well as inspecting the solar power plant (Gila Watero), which is a model for employing clean and sustainable energy sources in supporting tourism and community development in the city.
In the context of supporting the local culture and the Bedouin Identity, the delegation visited the village of the heritage in Sharm El -Sheikh, where the governor and members of the Parliamentary Committee praised the heritage exhibits that represent the identity and history of South Sinai, stressing the importance of supporting these initiatives to preserve the Sinai heritage and transfer it to future generations.
In a humanitarian gesture, Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, in cooperation with the Local Administration Committee, launched the “Caravan of Good” campaign under the auspices of the Governor of South Sinai, and in partnership with the Egyptian Al -Kassab Bank, to provide support and assistance to the most needy groups in the governorate, within the framework of the integration between the executive and community work to serve citizens.
At the end of the tour, the governor of South Sinai stressed that the governorate is moving steadily towards improving the quality of life and providing advanced infrastructure, thanks to the great support from the political leadership, praising the cooperation of all executive and legislative authorities in the service of the people of South Sinai.
