The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed that it is dealing positively with the ceasefire offers in the Gaza Strip, noting that it is holding extensive consultations with the Palestinian factions to come up with a unified position on the proposal of the armistice present, according to media reports.
On the other hand, Israeli channel 11 quoted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as saying that Israel agreed to the deal and is awaiting the response of the Palestinian factions … and Israeli reports expected that Hamas would provide its official response within the next few hours.
In the same context, Israeli estimates reported that about 20 hostages are still alive inside the Gaza Strip, which increases the importance of efforts to reach a prisoner exchange agreement and a comprehensive shooting stop.
The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel
Israeli officials also confirmed the existence of progress in the negotiations of the prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, pointing out that the American administration plans to announce the creativity of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next week, according to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
