The Main Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association announced that 40 referees have passed, by 20 square and 20 assistant rulings, for the tests that were held over the past two days, in preparation for their joining the closed camp to obtain a Assistant Video Government Technology (VAR).

The closed camp started this morning and continues until July 7, and comes within the framework of the committee’s plan to rehabilitate and develop the arbitration cadres, in line with modern technical developments in the management of matches.
The first day of the camp witnessed specialized theoretical lectures presented by the accredited trio of the African and International Federations: Syed Murad, Jihad Greisha, Hayam Baraka, and focused on the protocol of the use of VAR technology, identifying cases that require technology intervention, and the role of rulers in decision -making according to the approved international protocol.
It is scheduled that the program will witness in the coming days a practical simulation of various scenarios of matches, with the aim of training referees to make accurate immediate decisions using video technology, and enhance their ability to read and analyze the clips professionally.
