Research preparations for the implementation of a decent housing initiative in a decent life village
The meeting was attended by the accountant, Adly Abu Aqeel, Secretary General of the Governorate, Major General Magdy Ahmed, Director of the Regional Office at the Engineering House, Susan Mohamed Radi, Director of the Egyptian Rural Development Unit in Assiut, along with Al -Shaima Abdel -Moati, Undersecretary of the Social Solidarity Directorate, heads of centers, directors of social departments, and officials of the construction agencies in the central and northern Upper Egypt and the New Valley.
The meeting discussed the criteria and procedures approved to limit and classify the targeted homes within the initiative, through field committees to examine the nominated houses and determine the extent of their entitlement, according to three main classifications: houses that need to be removed and rebuilt, another that can be developed and raised efficiency, and a third that is not supported.
The Governor stressed the need to review and purify the lists of those who are entitled to accurately, in a manner that ensures their compatibility with the approved social and economic standards, and to ensure that the targeted families do not have any alternative housing, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to ensure the support of its beneficiaries with transparency and justice.
He also directed the intensification of cooperation between local units, the Social Solidarity Directorate, and the Engineering House, to accelerate inventory, field inspection and documentation in pictures, in preparation for preparing a detailed statement of families due to each center and sending it to the Ministry of Local Development and the Council of Ministers within 14 days.
The Governor of Assiut affirmed the full commitment of the province to support the initiative and provide all the facilities required to ensure its success successfully, noting that “a decent housing” represents a real opportunity to improve the quality of life for the first families with care and provide a safe and safe residential environment within the villages and hamlets, within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.
