The team, Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, stated today, Wednesday, that the movement of navigation in the channel is regular in both directions and was not affected by the accident of the sinking of the Admarine12 in the Jabal Al -Zayt area at the entrance to the Gulf of Suez, which is 130 nautical miles from the southern entrance to the Suez Canal in the Red Sea.

The team, Osama Rabie, sent a message of reassurance about the regularity of navigation in the channel at its normal rates, and not being affected by the accident that occurred outside the navigation of the Suez Canal.
He explained that the Authority’s crisis and disaster management center is closely following the developments of the incident within its tasks in coordination with the external authorities in the crisis management, which is outside the range of the navigation of the channel.
The team, Rabie, affirmed the authority’s readiness to cooperate with the concerned authorities to provide the necessary assistance in the event that the matter is required in order to activate the efforts made by the state to achieve the integrated central administration of crises, pointing out in this regard to the integrated system that the authority possesses with navigational competencies and accumulated experiences in marine rescue work and naval units specialized in marine rescue work, navigation insurance and anti -pollution.
It is worth noting that the movement of navigation in the channel is witnessing today, Wednesday, the crossing of 33 ships from both directions with a total net payload of 1.4 million tons.
