The mobile violation while driving became one of the most prominent causes of traffic accidents that occur in the world.
So the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the seriousness of this habit, stressing that the use of the long time while driving threatens human life and is considered a major cause of serious traffic accidents.
A fine of the mobile violation
From this standpoint, the Kingdom imposed financial fines on citizens when using the mobile while driving ranges from 500 to 900 riyals, and this comes in the midst of efforts made by the state to enhance the safety of citizens and reduce traffic accidents.
Driving fines at excessive
The Saudi authorities also imposed financial fines on citizens when driving at an extra speed if they exceeded 140 km per hour, resulting in a fine ranging between 1500 to 2000 riyals, within the Saudi traffic system in 2025.
If the vehicle speed ranges from 5 to 10 km/h, the financial fine starts from 300 riyals and reaches 500 riyals.
If the speed exceeds more than 10 to 20 km/h, the financial fine ranges between 800 to 1000 riyals.
While if the vehicle speed exceeds 20 to 30 km/h, the fine is from 1200 riyals to 1500 riyals.
The financial fine is from 1500 riyals to 2000 riyals, if the speed exceeds more than 50 km/h.

The Saudi traffic stressed the need to leave a sufficient distance between cars while driving, as this is a key factor to avoid accidents, especially when suddenly standing, stressing that the driver’s preoccupation with driving or not leaving a safe distance has a fine of 300 riyals.
