The Spanish League “La Liga” officially revealed the dates of the new football season 2025/2026, which kicks off in the middle of next August with the participation of 20 teams, and witnesses the return of new clubs to the competition atmosphere.

The La Liga Association announced that the start of the new season will be on Friday, August 15, 2025, while the competitions will be concluded on Sunday, May 24, 2026, as part of maintaining the regularity of the tournament’s schedule, in line with the international agenda.

Barcelona team is playing its new season in its capacity as the Spanish League title 2024/2025, after it settled the race against Real Madrid by 4 points, collecting 88 points compared to 84 for the Royal Club, which was runner -up. New expatriates
Levante teams, Elche, and Real Ovido succeeded in reserving the rise to the Spanish League, after providing distinguished levels in the second division. These teams will be replaced instead of Real Valladolid, Las Palmas, and Leganes, who have officially landed.
