Zahran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for the position of New York mayor, announced that President Donald Trump threatened him with arrest and stripped him of American citizenship, in addition to placing him in the camp of detention and deportation camp.
These statements came after Mamdani pledged to prevent the Immigration and Customs Department from carrying out extensive deportations in the city.
Trump’s threats sparked widespread controversy, in light of the escalation of political tensions before the elections scheduled for November.
