The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, Sarah Bouhaji, confirmed that the Bahrain Games Festival 2025 this year has a different character in terms of size and content, noting that the event is not limited to games, but also includes theatrical performances and concerts that are educational and development platforms for Bahraini students.
This came during the organization of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority for a special media tour headed by Sarah Bouhaji, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, in order to reveal the details of the festival, which kicks off early next July, and will continue until the end of August, amid a large expansion of local and international events and participations, and to present new platforms for family learning and interaction.
Bouhaji pointed out that more than 200 organizers of university students and schools participate in the festival management, stressing that these young people represent the first grade to receive visitors from inside and outside Bahrain.
She pointed out that the festival this year occupies two halls at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, which represents a double expansion compared to last year, and includes more than 11 commercial stores covering the foods, games, and various commodities.
She explained that the authority is cooperating with the Bahrain International Exhibition Center to ensure the assimilation of the largest number of visitors from the Cooperation Council and the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to organizing 9 daily theatrical performances, and 23 participation of international figures in the festival.
Bouhaji stressed that the festival is characterized by easy reservation and access to tickets through a modern electronic platform, which facilitates visitors with an integrated and comfortable experience.
For her part, Sheikha Dhawi bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Malik’s partner in the “Artley” studio, stated that the festival expanded to two large halls reflects its continuous success, noting the remarkable increase in games and events year after year.
She explained that the festival witnessed a presence of 30% of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with the new expansion, it expects this percentage to rise, which reflects the regional dimension of the effectiveness and its tourism and recreational importance.
On the sidelines of the Games Festival, the Bahrain International Exhibition Center announced the launch of the “Creativity Station 2025”, a creative platform aimed at providing an interactive experience for families, in cooperation with a variety of local partners. The first edition of the “Creativity Station” begins in conjunction with the activities of the Bahrain Games Festival 2025 during the period from July 1 to August 5 in the eastern lobby of the center, in cooperation with the Bahraini “Artley” studio for innovative arts, where the event includes a series of artistic activities and handicrafts for children, adolescents and families.
The event provides in this version a set of practical art stations designed to inspire children and encourage them to explore their abilities and express their personalities through various forms of arts and participatory activities, as these stations allow visitors of all age groups to engage in distinguished artistic experiences with children, and unleash their creative imaginations within an interactive environment that celebrates learning and joint discovery, whether at the level of individual or collective posts.
The creativity station includes innovative activities, including coloring handbags, coloring of acrylic bears, and drawing on fabric, as well as reviving the iconic monuments at the Kingdom level through indicative art designs. Weekly technical classes will be allocated to different age groups, from 4 years of age to adults, in addition to organizing periodic artistic workshops in various fields that include drawing, coloring, clay, and multimedia, including preparing and designing biscuits, manufacturing masks, handcrafted bracelets (Paracord), sand arts, and self -portrait, within the framework of an interactive experience Renewable on a weekly basis.
On this occasion, the Director of Marketing and Communication and Partnerships Department at the Bahrain World Exhibition Center, Hoda Al -Shamlan, affirmed that this step comes as a confirmation of the center’s keenness to upgrade the level of events embraced and enhance its qualitative content, explaining that the launch of the station reflects the center’s commitment to provide an integrated educational and recreational experience, through cooperation with local partners such as the “Artley” and the platform “Platinum Not », and the Bahrain Games Festival, which contributes to consolidating the position of the center as a sustainable destination for innovation, learning and family interaction throughout the year.
She also added that the initiative represents an ideal environment for interactive activities that enhance community participation, and confirms the center’s commitment to supporting national national competencies and Bahraini entrepreneurs through effective partnerships that contribute to highlighting local creative energies.
For her part, Sheikha Dawa bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed her pride in cooperation with the Bahrain International Exhibition Center in the first edition of the “Creativity Station” initiative, stressing that this partnership represents a distinguished opportunity to enhance the concepts of creativity and interaction through the arts. It also indicated that the initiative provides visitors with an inspiring environment and an exceptional artistic experience that contributes to the launch of creative energies in various fields of art, within an interactive framework that encourages communication and community participation.
It is noteworthy that the Bahrain International Exhibition Center has partnered with the Bahrain Games Festival and the GBL Group to launch special packages dedicated to organizing Christmas parties for children throughout the festival days, where families have the opportunity to celebrate their children’s occasions in a festive atmosphere of fun and entertainment.
