The Coast Guard in Tunisia found Monday evening the body of the three -year -old girl who lost Saturday after she was washed away by the waves away from the beach while swimming with her family.

The city of Qalebiya, which is affiliated with Nabeul Governorate, northeast of Tunisia, was shaken, on Saturday evening, June 28, in the event of a tragic accident in the loss of a three -year -old Tunisian child, after the waves were washed away during her swimming with her family, who came from France to spend her summer vacation.

The girl, “Maryam”, was on a rubber buoy when the sea stream pushed her away from the beach, without noticing her mother to move away because of the wind speed and waves. The family did not realize the size of the danger until after the small disappeared from view in the raging water.

The family had rented a house in Qalibia for a quiet summer vacation, but the sea had another opinion, as the incident coincided with a severe weather disturbance, after strong northern winds that swept the coast of Nabeul since Saturday.

The Tuns Coast Guard reported to the media that the body of the child was found on Monday evening, floating at sea off the coast of the city of Bani Khayer, which is about 25 kilometers from the Qalebiya beach, where the last time disappeared.

Searching for “Maryam” started since Saturday evening, and witnessed a wide alert with the participation of civil defense units and elements of the sea, as well as divers and volunteers, and a helicopter was used to expand the seaport.

Mary’s tragedy was not the only incident at the end of the same week, as other sinking cases were recorded as a result of bad weather, including the accident of the drowning of four girls in Suleiman Beach, which reflects the danger of swimming in turbulent climatic conditions.

Despite repeated warnings, such incidents continue to repeat them, especially with the arrival of families and tourists on the Tunisian coast during the summer season, which raises questions about the need to tighten control and awareness procedures, to protect children and families from repeating these tragedies.
