His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Saleh Al -Alawi, Minister of Social Development, Chairman of the session (44) of the Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers, participated in the works of the high -ranking Arab regional meeting hosted by the sisterly Tunisian Republic, to prepare for the Second World Social Development Conference to be held in the sisterly State of Qatar next November. The meeting aims to discuss the most priority social and development issues of Arab countries.
In his speech, His Excellency the Minister of Social Development stressed the need to work according to a comprehensive development framework that takes into account the most needy groups and enhances the ability of countries to respond to the challenges and changes on the regional and international scene. He also called for strengthening the social statistical system in the Arab countries to support decision -making based on clear scientific data and foundations.
He concluded his speech by emphasizing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of its presidency of the current session of the Council of Arab Social Affairs, to support the efforts of joint Arab action, and to enhance coordination and consultation with member states.
His Excellency the Minister also participated in the Gulf coordination meeting organized by the Executive Office of the Council of Labor Ministers and the Council of Ministers of Social Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council states on the sidelines of the Arab regional meeting, within the framework of strengthening the joint Gulf position and coordinating efforts between member states in preparation for the Second World Summit for Social Development in the sisterly State of Qatar.
