The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) announced the opening of registration for private sector institutions wishing to train its employees as part of the “Training in the field of artificial intelligence”. This program comes within the package that was launched in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Issa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of Prime Minister of the Board of Directors of the Labor Fund, which aims to train 50 thousand Bahraini on artificial intelligence skills by the year 2030.
The program provides the opportunity for private sector institutions to provide their employees with the necessary knowledge, strategic understanding and practical skills to effectively integrate artificial intelligence tools in their work. The program includes 3 training paths, which are the general artificial intelligence skills course, the specialized artificial intelligence skills course, and the artificial intelligence course for the executive management. The registration door has been opened for the general artificial intelligence skills course designed for employees who can have a basic knowledge of information technology, in addition to the artificial intelligence course of the executive management designed for employees, executives and independent entrepreneurs. The registration door for the specialized artificial intelligence skills course will be announced later.
On this occasion, Mr. Khaled Al -Bayat, CEO of growth in the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), affirmed the Fund’s commitment to strengthening national cadres with the skills required to raise their competitiveness and support to achieve success in the labor market, in line with his goal in making the Bahraini citizen the perfect choice for employment in the labor market. He stated: “We have launched this program with the aim of harmonizing the skills of Bahraini competencies with the needs of the market and providing them with future skills. This training will contribute to enhancing the professional path for the participants and helping them in achieving job development and excellence in the labor market. Entrepreneurs and executives will benefit from the use of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency and productivity of their business and adopting innovative technical solutions.”
50,000 Bahraini will be trained over the next five years, which will contribute to extending the local market with qualified cadres with the ability to take advantage of artificial intelligence efficiently in enhancing its business. This initiative will contribute to enhancing the culture of innovation and encouraging the adoption of advanced technical solutions and digital transformation, which contributes positively to increasing productivity of private sector institutions.

This initiative comes in line with the priorities of the empowerment of the strategy for the year 2025, which is to enhance the position and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and to provide Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for job development in the private sector, as well as granting priority for the growth, concealment and sustainability of institutions.
