The Services Committee of the Shura Council, headed by His Excellency Dr. Jamila Muhammad Reda Al -Salman, prepared its report on a draft law amending Article (4) of Law No. (19) of 2006 regarding the regulation of the labor market (prepared in light of the proposal of the law offered by the Veravan House
The committee reviewed the decision of the esteemed House of Representatives, which approves the draft law, as well as the opinions of the relevant authorities, represented by the Ministry of Labor, the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union, the limit for the Bahrain Workers Syndicate, and the Bahrain Association for Recruitment offices, before submitting the final report to the Council’s office in preparation for its discussion in the next session.
The committee also continued to discuss a draft law to amend some provisions of Decree Law No. 47 of 2002, regarding the regulation of press, printing and publishing, and facilities for Decree No. 77 of 2021, which aims to cancel the penalty of imprisonment in all the penal texts contained in the law, and to be satisfied with the criminal fine, along with the organization of electronic media as one of the components of the media system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is represented in the activity of providing news, information or programs Various to the public.
The committee was briefed on the articles of the bill and the definitions received, and the committee decided to continue the discussion in the draft law during the upcoming meetings and hold meetings with the relevant authorities.
