The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and the Municipalities and Transport Department called on members of the community to avoid swimming in the banned maritime beaches, which extends from the Bahia Sea to the Shaila region. The Municipalities and Transport Department explained that these sites may pose a threat to public safety due to multiple factors such as strong water currents, or the presence of obstacles under the surface of the water, in addition to the lack of rescue teams, stressing that swimming in these sites may lead to drowning or injury, and confirmed that they have placed clear guidelines that prohibit swimming in such areas.
