Initial reports showed that the campus of the American University in Ras Al Khaimah exports the lowest percentage of greenhouse gases among the UAE universities, towards achieving the goals of sustainability set in the university’s five -year sustainability plan. The report indicated that the university has the lowest emissions of greenhouse gases per person, which amounts to 3.67 metric tons of carbon dioxide, unlike three other universities, whose emissions ranged between 5.68 to 7.59 metric tons.
