An official source at the General Authority for Roads and Bridges of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport commented on the death of 18 girls in a microbus collision with a heavy transport car on the regional ring road in the Menoufia Governorate, saying: The road – the location of the accident – does not have technical problems.
The source added in his statements to Cairo 24, that the regional ring road has been maintained for a long time by another company specialized in road maintenance work, and has not been completely completed from these works yet.

Regarding the presence of maintenance equipment on the regional ring road – the location of the accident – the source explained that this comes within the maintenance operations that are carried out on the road periodically, stressing that the authority did not interfere with any equipment to repair parts of the road after the accident, due to the fact that there is no need to move for it.
The responsible source of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the victims of the tragic accident, which resulted in the death of 18 girls from the village of Kafr El -Snabsa, affiliated to the Menouf Center in Menoufia Governorate, calling on the Almighty to bless them with the mercy of his mercy and inspire their people and their families with patience and solace.
