The world’s steps towards investing in artificial intelligence are accelerating after it has become one of the most prominent tools that redraw the features of the vital sectors everywhere, and this transformation is not exclusive to technical companies or research centers, but rather extends to governments and educational and media institutions, and various fields in various fields amid the increasing awareness of the deep impact of this technology on societies and their economies.
وخلال الأسبوع الماضي جاءت قمة «جذور: الذكاء الاصطناعي والجيل الجديد»، التي احتضنتها البحرين مؤخراً، لتكون محطة مهمة تجمع الخبراء وصُنّاع القرار في مناقشات مفتوحة حول الذكاء الاصطناعي وتطبيقاته، القمة في نسختها الأولى خارج الإمارات حظيت بمشاركة واسعة من المتخصصين على المستوى الخليجي والدولي، وقدّمت جلسات متنوعة تناولت تأثير الذكاء الاصطناعي في مجالات الإعلام، والتعليم، وصناعة القرار، Entrepreneurship, along with an international session devoted to monitoring the features of artificial intelligence in the global scene.
Among the posts that drew me at the summit are the prominent role of the Emirates Research Center for Research and Studies, which was the official scientific scientific partner of the event, and this Emirati presence reflects the level of maturity that the UAE has reached in the fields of scientific research and digital transformation, especially in the link between artificial intelligence and Arab cultural identity, so the initiatives reviewed by the center, such as “the coexistence platform”, and “the Emirati Russian Psychology Dictionary”, and a dictionary GPT, presented a realistic example of how to use artificial intelligence in the service of scientific research and the Arabic language and enhance the cultural dimension in light of the accelerated technical progress.
In a speech delivered by His Excellency Dr. Raman bin Abdullah Al -Nuaimi, Minister of Information during the conference, in which he stressed the importance of preparing Bahraini cadres to keep pace with this transformation, pointing to the success of the “Creator Laboratory” initiative, which focused heavily on artificial intelligence applications, and was able to train more than a thousand government employees in less than a year, and this experience represents an advanced step in preparing human capital.
Creators Laboratory, which is supervised by dear brother Muhannad Suleiman, an exceptional experience that must be a model followed by training departments in government institutions and follows his followers, as the reality of government training in some government institutions still needs to be reviewed, especially with the presence of some of the duplicate training programs and workshops, which have not evolved for years, and depends on the repetition of the same courses without taking into account the difference in time and its change, as traditional courses today do not serve the labor market as they were as they were She previously does, artificial intelligence develops and changes on a daily basis, and requires accurate specialized training that is in line with the privacy of each sector, whether in the media, health, education, or administrative services.
