Sheikh Ibrahim Abdel Salam, Secretary of the Fatwa at the Ifta House, stressed that there is no legal evidence that links yawning during the reading of the Noble Qur’an and envy, noting that some people link physical or transit phenomena without support.

The Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Ifta House, during a dialogue with the journalist Muhannad Sadat, on the “Fatwas of People” program, today, Saturday, that envy is mentioned in the Noble Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, and it has realistic effects that cannot be denied, but yawning is not a certain sign of it.
He added that envy exists and the eye is right, but it is not correct to link everything that is happening with it, as yawning is a natural matter that has nothing to do with envy in itself.
He pointed out that the prevention of envy is by immunizing the soul, family and home by reading Al -Fatihah and Al -Mudha ’and the verse of the chair, and maintaining the morning and evening dhikr, saying: The first is a Muslim that the legal ruqyah begins without waiting for symptoms, the principle is prevention before treatment.
He warned against excessive openness on social media, saying: “Some people publish all the details of their lives: they did not wear, what they ate, what they bought, their cars, their children, then they complain about problems and distress, and do not realize that this may be a door for envy and ruin.”
He continued: As our master Jacob said to his son Yusuf, peace be upon him: Do not tell your visions to your brothers, and they assure you as a plot, this indicates the importance of concealment, and the lack of showing all blessings, for every blessing has a envious, and our Lord preserves us and preserves all of our homes.
