Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, approved the controls, rules and procedures regulating the implementation of Umrah trips for the 1447 AH season, after the completion of their preparation by the Supreme Committee for Umrah and Hajj, to ensure a tight organization and improve the level of services provided to Egyptian pilgrims.

Among the most prominent developments in the controls this season is that every tourism company that wants to implement Umrah programs has been obligated to register five religious tourism supervisors as a minimum, provided that one of them is one legal representative instead of only two supervisors as it was in practice last season, with the aim of enhancing the quality of supervision of programs and providing the best services to pilgrims.
The presence of a basic supervisor for every 50 pilgrims was also emphasized, provided that he is accredited and registered with the ministry, which contributes to improving the service provided by the supervisor of the pilgrims, and with the commitment to submit return reports within 72 hours of the end of the trip in order to ensure that the company’s supervisors accompany the group in going and returning.
