A medical team at Kafr Shukki Hospital in Qaliubiya Governorate, headed by Dr. Rashid Hashad, head of the orthopedic department, succeeded in saving a 65 -year -old sick life, who was suffering from a severe fracture in the thigh joint, in a precedent that is the first of its kind inside the hospital, where the surgery took several hours, and it was successful without complications.

A statement issued by Kafr Shukki Hospital explained that this achievement comes within the framework of the initiative to finish the waiting lists, noting that the medical team in the Orthopedic Department, led by Dr. Rashid Hashad, performed an accurate surgery to replace the pelvic joint with a two -polar artificial joint of the patient, whose health condition was unstable upon arrival at the hospital.
The statement added that the patient underwent all the necessary medical examinations and rumors before entering the operating room, as the surgery was performed completely without complications, and her condition improved significantly, and began walking using the artificial joint.
For his part, Dr. Walid Al -Sharif, Director General of Kafr Shukr Al -Tasabi Hospital, thanked Dr. Hassan Abu Al -Saud, President of the Medical Authority, Dr. Rashid Hashad, Head of the Department of Orthopedics, Dr. Radi Al -Ghadiri, Head of Operations Department, Dr. Nihad Abdullah, Coordinator of the Initiative to Eliminate Waiting Lists, in addition to the assistant medical team, and they are: Dr. Mahmoud Hegazy, orthopedic specialist, Dr. Mahmoud Metwally, anesthesia specialist Mikhail, and Princess Amin Nursing, Department of Surgery.
Dr. Walid Al -Sharif also stressed that the success rate of surgeries inside the hospital is high, thanks to the efforts made to develop the medical system, and the use of a number of consultants specializing in precise specializations that are not available inside the hospital, which contributes to enhancing patients’ confidence, raising the efficiency of the health system, and implementing rare operations to save the lives of patients and emergency situations. This is under the supervision of Dr. Maha Ibrahim, head of the secretariat of specialized medical centers, which pays great attention to providing the best health care for patients.
