A recent study by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) indicated that the continuous use of artificial intelligence tools, such as the Chat GBT conversation, may have an impact on the cognitive functions of users in the long run.
According to the American “Fox News” network, the study showed that the intense dependence on “GBT Chat” in writing articles over several months may lead to a decline in nervous activity related to cognitive skills, compared to people who depend on their mental abilities or use traditional search engines.
The study included 54 participants who were divided into three groups: the first was used “Chat BT” to write articles for 4 months, and the second used search engines, while the third group relied on self -thinking without helping tools.
At the end of the study, the participants underwent tests via EEG (EEG) to monitor nervous activity, as well as interviews with them to record their personal observations.
The results showed clear differences in nervous communication patterns between the three groups, as the group that relied on self -thinking recorded the most powerful nervous activity, followed by the search engines group, while the users of “Chat BT” recorded the weakest activity, especially when writing an article without using any tools.
The researchers pointed out that these results may be linked to a decrease in learning and cognitive interaction skills, calling for future studies with a broader participation to ensure the results and taking into account individual differences.
The study team emphasized that the use of artificial intelligence tools must take place in a balanced manner and under academic or professional supervision, to avoid any possible effects on mental capabilities, especially in educational and professional environments.
