Today’s competitions concluded Arab Tennis Championship For the young men and women under 1225, which was held on the Grand Plaza club stadiums in Cairo during the period from 22 to 26 June, under the supervision of the Arab Tennis Federation and the organization of the Egyptian Federation headed by Captain Ismail Al -Shafi’i.
The results of the championship resulted in the crowning of Egypt with the title of the championship in the youth and youngsters, after a clear dominance of the first places, amid the participation of seven Arab countries and strong competitions throughout the tournament days.
The results of the junior:
First place and the gold medalEgypt team (a)
Second place and silver medalEgypt team (b)
Third place: Tunisia
Solid: Saudi Arabia (fourth), Lebanon, Algeria, Bahrain, and Iraq.
Girls ’results:
First place and the gold medalEgypt team (a)
Second place and silver medal: Tunisia
Third place and bronze medalEgypt team (b)
Solid: Algeria and Lebanon.
The closing ceremony was held this evening in the presence of the members of the Arab and Egyptian tennis federations and the heads of the participating delegations, during which the cups and medals were distributed to the first three teams, in addition to providing memorial medals to all participants, in support of the Sunni groups and an encouragement to the talents of the future.
The ceremony also witnessed the exchange of memorial shields between delegations, as Captain Ayman Azmi, Vice President of the Arab and Egyptian Federation, presented the Egyptian Federation’s shield to Eng. Ali Al -Mutairi, Secretary -General of the Arab Federation, and Dr. Awad Al -Aqili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation.
For his part, Al -Mutairi valued the efforts of the Egyptian Federation in the organization, despite the challenges related to the closure of the atmosphere in some participating countries.
Engineer Walid Sami, Secretary -General of the Arab and Egyptian Federation, praised the distinguished technical level of the championship and strong competition between players and players, stressing the Arab Federation’s keenness to support this age group and care for the path of building promising generations in the game of tennis.
