Walid Jamal Al -Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, received yesterday morning at the headquarters of the Authority in Sokhna, a delegation that includes 30 ambassadors of Egyptian ambassadors assigned to the presidency of Egypt’s diplomatic and consulate missions abroad, on a visit aimed at identifying the investment capabilities and projects that exist within the economic zone, and enhancing cooperation between the authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians abroad in support of the state’s efforts to promote investment abroad.
This visit comes within the Suez Canal economic plan, to communicate with the Egyptian diplomatic departments, and to introduce state representatives abroad to the industrial and logistical ingredients that it enjoys.

In this context, Walid Jamal Al -Din expressed his happiness at receiving the delegation as ambassadors of the investment opportunities available in Egypt, and a point of focus in the international promotion of the economic zone as a regional industrial and logistical center, especially in light of the success of the Suez Canal economy in recent years in signing many contracts with international investors, benefiting from its strategic location on the global trade lines, and the budget package that provides it provides For investors, he explained that the Egyptian diplomacy is a major partner in the international promotion of the constituents of the economic zone, noting that the authority, despite the geopolitical and economic challenges taking place in the world, managed to enhance its position as a safe and promising destination for investment.
Stability of supply chains
Walid Jamal Al -Din reviewed the capabilities of the economic zone, which is one of the most prominent national projects adopted by the Egyptian state to achieve sustainable development, as it extends over an area of 455 km2 and includes 4 industrial areas that integrate with 6 marine ports overlooking the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, which provides an investment environment that combines industry and logistical services, by developing its infrastructure, providing an attractive investment climate, and ensuring the stability of chains The supply, confirming the authority’s work to localize strategic industries in the fields of renewable energy, medicines, heavy industries, and supplementary industries, in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy, resettling industry, and replacing imports, which reduces the import bill.
After the meeting, the delegation went to an inspection tour of the integrated industrial industrial area, which included a visit to ICABOS Industrial Development Company for building materials manufacturing, the administrative headquarters of Teda Egypt, the Shin Xing Company for the Degenerable Iron Pipe Manufacturing, the Josh Misr Egypt Industry Company, in addition to the visit of the Bados FMCG Industry Company for Chemical Cosmetic Manufacturing, and the Hayat Egypt company For health products, the Flex BET manufacturing PET, the tour was concluded, and the tour was concluded by inspecting the port of Sokhna and its ongoing development work, which is one of the most important ports of the authority, and it is developed to keep pace with the needs of the global trade movement and to serve the targets of the economic zone of the Suez Canal in linking the ports to the industry and achieving logistical integration
