The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation and Dubai Ports World Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Maritime Academy, with the aim of enhancing the UAE capabilities in the fields of security and the maritime sector. The memo states to enhance cooperation in the field of training the security department employees in the Foundation on the “Sanad” program, which aims to prepare a new generation of Emirati competencies specialized in the field of security. The program extends for a period ranging between 12 to 14 months, and combines academic qualification and practical training, to provide participants with advanced skills in security strategies and risk management, especially in the port and maritime transport sector.
