The Minister of Development highlights the importance of diversification, organizational innovation and global cooperation

During her participation as a participant in an annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, His Excellency Mrs. Nour Bint Ali Al -Khalif, Minister of Sustainable Development, CEO of the Economic Development Council, affirmed what is constituted by economic diversification, organizational innovation and global cooperation a central importance in supporting economic growth and development.

The meeting, whose business extends from 24 to 26 June in Tianjin, in the People’s Republic of China, and brings together more than 1700 global leaders from various governmental, commercial and academic sectors, to develop new models for economic growth in light of the global transformation.

Her Excellency was chosen among a group of participating presidents for the annual global meeting in order to formulate the agenda, which gave an opportunity to highlight Bahrain’s vision on innovation -based development, human capital, and regional bonding.

Her Excellency was attended by the opening session of the meeting, during which Mr. Wang Xinoy, the governor of the Chinese province of Layoning, threw the keynote speech, through which he stressed China’s commitment to openness, innovation and joint prosperity in a sophisticated global scene, stressing the importance of the long -term cooperation.

His Excellency the Minister of Sustainable Development, CEO of the Economic Development Council, also participated in a number of high -level sessions that shed light on Bahrain’s strategic priorities and its international participation, which included:

Features of the new economic system: It sought to discuss the diversification of countries for their economies away from the traditional sectors, and the role that economic cooperation with regional partners plays in drawing the economic strategy of Bahrain.

Commercial and investment relations between the Middle East, North Africa and China: The session touched on the establishment of Bahrain’s position as a gateway to investment between Asia and the Middle East.

Important skills: The session highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to rehabilitate its forces operating in the digital economy sector through education and developing skills, and reviewed the latest developments on the speed of skills and enhancing equal opportunities between the sexes.

Women’s Leaders – Forming the Future Economy: The session sought to discuss the role of women’s leadership in shaping the global agenda in a dynamic global economy, including the progress made in the Kingdom in supporting women’s participation.

The meeting also dealt with topics related to ways to deal with the accelerated global scene due to technological and geopolitical transformations and sustainability requirements.

Her Excellency met with Mr. Burgah Bernde, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum to discuss the ongoing strategic relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the World Economic Forum, the annual meeting of 2025 in China, and future plans.

In parallel with the meetings, officials of the Economic Development Council participated in bilateral meetings with the aim of enhancing strategic communication and seizing the opportunities available on the sidelines of the forum, which strengthened the Kingdom’s role as a competitive and interrelated investment destination, as the effective presence of the Economic Development Council in Tianjin confirms its broader commitment to strengthening international partnerships and contributing to global economic dialogue.

The Council’s call to participate as a co -chair of the durability of its firm partnership with the World Economic Forum and its compatibility with the common priorities of supporting economic diversification, innovation, human capital development, technology, and sustainable growth.
