The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, EGAS 6, assigned new sectors of a number of international companies.
New investments of about 245 million dollars are expected to be pumped with a minimum new exploratory well during the research periods in the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources strategy to attract new investments and enhance gas production.
Details of the winning sectors and companies
These sectors include 4 new naval sectors in the Mediterranean, which were presented within the global bidding of 2024 through the Egypt Gate for Exploration and Production (Eug), in addition to two ground sectors in the Nile Delta and North Sinai.
The northern segment of Semian Bahri and northwest of Atoul al -Bahri: they were assigned to the coalition of “Chevron Egypt” and “BG (Shell”. It is planned to drill two well -exploration wells in each sector.
North Ras Al -Tin segment: I was assigned to Iyuk Production (Eni). It is planned to dig 3 exploratory wells in this sector.
East Alexandria Maritime Sector: Airon Egypt. It is planned to dig 3 exploratory wells in this sector.
North Tanta Earth Sector, Nile Delta: ABR was assigned to ABR. It is planned that the company will dig two exploratory wells.
Turquoise Ground Sector in North Sinai: It was assigned to “Brenco”. It is planned that the company will perform a three -dimensional code and dig a single exploratory well.
Additional investment opportunities under the offering
Complementing more investment opportunities, there are currently a number of various investment opportunities offered at the Egypt Gate for Exploration and Production (Eug). These opportunities include a number of non -developed marine fields in the Mediterranean. The bidding will be closed on these areas on July 2, 2025, and the results will be announced as soon as the bidding will be closed and the offers are received.
