President Tharan Shanmogranam, President of the Republic of Singapore, met with Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat of the role and advisory bodies in the world, as part of his official visit to Singapore, which is witnessing an intense activity in supporting religious and scientific relations between the two countries.

The President affirmed the depth of the relations that bring together Egypt and Singapore, appreciating Egypt’s concrete efforts in supporting global issues, and enhancing the values ​​of coexistence and openness to the other, pointing to Singapore’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially in the scientific, cultural and economic fields, stressing that it will arrange a close visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt; In support of this trend and an expression of the depth of bilateral relationships.

For his part, the virtue of Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, the Mufti of the Republic, valued this generous meeting, expressing his appreciation for the keenness of the Singaporean leadership to document cooperation with the ancient Egyptian religious institutions, stressing that the relations between Egypt and Singapore are not only a diplomatic cooperation, but rather an intellectual and civilizational partnership based on mutual respect and exchange of experiences, noting that the Egyptian Fatwa House seeks to integrate with Al -Azhar to build bridges Cooperation with discreet religious institutions in the world, joint work to confront intellectual challenges, and consolidate a Rashid discourse, aware of reality, authentic in its premises, flexible in its tools.
