Today, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, students of the Scientific Division of Al-Azhar Secondary School continue to take exams at the end of the academic year for the first round of the year 2024-2025, which started on May 29 and will continue until July 10.
Dr. Ahmed Badir, head of the Central Administration of South Sinai Al -Azhar region, said in statements to Cairo 24 that students of the Literary Division perform their exams within 8 main committees distributed over 4 educational departments, including 6 joint committees for scientific and literary students, in addition to two committees dedicated to literary students only.

Badir indicated that the number of students of Al -Azhar secondary certificate in South Sinai is 336 male and female students, with 147 male and female students in the Scientific Division, and 189 in the Literary Division.
The head of the Central Administration stated that the exams are conducted on a daily basis, except for Fridays and official leave, and students take turns between the scientific and literary divisions according to the schedule approved by the Al -Azhar institutes sector, and students of the Scientific Division today perform the examination of literature and texts in the period from nine in the morning until eleven.
Badir stressed that the Central Operations Room did not receive any complaints from students or parents from the start of the exams until today, noting that the committees are committed to examinations and providing the appropriate atmosphere for students.
He stressed his directives for the heads of the committees that it is necessary to prevent the entry of mobile phones and electronic devices, whether for students or observers, and to address any attempts to cheat, with good treatment of students, and to provide good ventilation within the committees to maintain their focus.
He pointed out that the exams are held with the bouquet system that combines the two questions and answer paper in one booklet, aiming to organize the exams and reduce the phenomenon of fraud, taking into account the individual differences through the diversity of levels of questions between theoretical and applied.
Badir added that the heads of the committees and observers received intense training to confront modern electronic fraud methods, and the committees were provided with metal detectors, with the activation of the central operations room to follow up the conduct of exams, moment by moment, immediate dealing with any emergency, and applying strict penalties against those who prove his involvement in the violation of the examination system.
He also pointed out that the exams are taking place amid tight security procedures from the security men, whether in question distribution centers or within the committees, with a strict ban on the entry of any electronic devices, and the application of accurate inspection procedures for students and observers.
With regard to the Hijri New Year’s holiday tomorrow, Thursday, Badir explained that the exams are continuing and will not stop, confirming that there is no disruption of the exams in the various governorates of the Republic.
It is noteworthy that the number of students applying for Al -Azhar secondary school exams this year at the level of the Republic reached 173,808 male and female students, distributed over 577 exam committees in various Al -Azhar regions.
