Indeed, “crazy chapters” in a few hours, as we were reading about signs of the possibility of the return of the dialogue after the American strikes of Iranian nuclear establishments, but, suddenly, Iranian missiles decided to launch towards the sister Qatar!
Tehran came out speeding to explain, and with a tone closer to the naivety than to diplomacy, that the intended was not Qatar, but the rule of the American on its soil, as if the missiles were provided with the technique of identifying the intention, and greeted by passers -by before it exploded!
The Iranians announced that the bombing was made with six missiles that were all intercepted. Soon it was leaked that the base had not already contained aircraft, as it was previously evacuated.
At this moment, President Trump appears to announce that “the war is over”, and even thanks Tehran because it warned Washington about the place and date of the bombing !!!
While the US President was giving thanks to Tehran, Israel and the whole world, Iranian news agencies were shouting with a new promise entitled “The response has not yet come.”
The scene was not satisfied with this amount of chaos, as Israel entered the line with a wave of bombing targeting Tehran, so that Trump came out angry, declaring that he was “upset” from both sides because they “did not hear his words”!
Iran insists that the strike is “not directed against Qatar”, and that it is “symbolic” only! Ok, and what about the fragments that fell on the streets of Doha?! Does the symbolism include the terror that afflicted children?! Is there a so -called “symbolic fear” or “a representative panic”?!
Some analysts believe that the Iranian strike was an attempt to save face after the American and Israeli strikes revealed the fragility of Iranian defenses.
Even if we assume that, and even if we recognize that the strike was symbolic and agreed upon, the most important question remains: Why does the Gulf become the stage of the stage?! Why are these military offers run over our heads?! What about a mistake in the coordinates, or about a missile that decides to change its course, who will bear the consequences at the time?!
We clearly say it, the Arabian Gulf, in all its countries and peoples, is not a stadium for the homes of others, nor its airspace is a space for fiery messages between the opponents.
We are not looking for enmities, nor does it like to line up with any party. All we ask is stable safety, real peace, and life without air warnings or symbolic bombings.
And if President Trump is serious about his desire to stop “volatile missiles in every direction”, we hope that the parties will sit at a calm table and dialogue sooner and not later, and that this will resume away from our sky.
