10,000 inappropriate drinks and the closure of violating facilities in a surprise campaign in Beni Suef

Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, discussed with Dr. Samah Jad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the results of the sudden supervisory campaign carried out by preventive medicine teams on a number of food facilities at the Al -Fashn Center, which resulted in the seizure of quantities of products that violate health requirements.

This came during the governor’s knowledge of the field report submitted by the Undersecretary, who reviewed the efforts of the inspection teams led by Dr. Mohamed Kareeb, Undersecretary of the Directorate and Supervisor of Preventive Medicine, Dr. Umniah Ahmed Hassan, Director of Preventive Medicine Department, Dr. Majid Salman, Director of Food Control Department, and Dr. Abdullah Al -Daksh, Director of Preventive Medicine in the Fashion, with the participation of food control teams in the Directorate and the Fashin Center.

The report pointed out that the campaign resulted in the seizure of 10 thousand pieces of a diabetes (Lolita) drink with a total weight of approximately 390 liters, including 14 cartons containing a thousand expired pieces of about 30 liters, in violation of the provisions of Law No. 10 of 1966, and the seizures were seized in the Food Control Office in the Fashn, editing a report of the incident and referring it to the Public Prosecution.

Also, 150 cartons containing 9 thousand pieces were seized with future production dates, in violation of Law No. 281 of 1994, where the quantity was seized and samples were withdrawn from the laboratory analysis.

The results of the campaign also included the editing of 6 health misdemeanors, including 3 records for not completing the requirements of health and general hygiene in accordance with Resolution 96 of 1967, and 3 other records for the failure of workers to hold health certificates valid in violation of Resolution 97 of 1967.

The campaign also monitored two violating facilities, the first is an unlicensed store and pose a risk to public health because it contains open sewage pipes, and the second is a food facility operating without a license, in violation of Law No. 154 of 2019.

The inspection teams executed 10 kg of food that is not suitable for consumption to change their natural properties, and withdrew two samples of local meat products to send them to the joint laboratory to analyze and ensure their validity.

For his part, the governor of Beni Suef stressed the necessity of continuing and intensifying these campaigns throughout the province, especially in villages and singles, to ensure a safe and healthy food to the citizens, stressing that the firm legal measures are taken towards violators, and praising the role of the inspection teams in protecting the health of society.

Participated in the implementation of the campaign: Dr. Umniah Ahmed Hassan, Dr. Majid Salman, Dr. Abdullah Al -Daksh, Khaled Khalifa, Professor Saeed Abd Rabbo, Professor Mahdi Ismail, Mohamed Mahmoud, Hamdi Ashour, and Mohamed Abdel -Qader, from the food control teams in the Directorate and Al -Fashn Center.
